hi everyone ,
im back for some much needed tlc .
i feel like a 'user' by just coming here when im in cycle , i apologise for that .  ive been PAIN FREE since the beginning of june and its like i had weeks and weeks of glorious pfdan and i FORGOT about clusters , they just were not part of my life anymore .
in fact i think i possibly thought that i would never get them again and the previous 8 months had been some sort of distant nightmare.
2 nights ago  the beast woke me at 4am saying HOW DARE YOU FORGET ME ,YOU DESERVE TO DIE FOR THAT . IT crushed me , crushed my spirit .
i went to my doctor and i am taking 600mg neurotonin and 480mg verapamil. im shadowing all the time it seems and have had 4 hits up to now . i couldnt have imigran injections cos i take sertraline antidepressant and it reacts badly . my doc is trying to get me some oxygen , she says its not easy ? im still waiting and hoping it gives me relief .

Invest in some Red Bull energy drink and gulp it down at the first signs.

O2 is not that hard to get. Get a script = take it to a medical supply place and they usually deliver it. Be sure the regulator is at least 15lpm and you get a non-rebreathable mask (not the nose thingy). Set the regulator on 12-15 and BREATHE. It's a lifesaver...

OOPS.... Just noticed that you're from across the pond. Getting O2 there may be more difficult.

thanks barbara,
yes im in not so sunny england where it does seem almost taboo to even dare to ASK your doctor for anything.
its also a bank holiday weekend so ive no chance of getting any until tuesday at least.
its 6am here and ive been up for an hour dancing , pacing , rocking , crying with my heart racing and sweat pouring off me .
i feel like ive just given birth, you forget how painful that was aswell i think .
thanks for the redbull tip , i was reading that earlier . ive drank lots of coffee but didnt seem to catch it in time - well it was pretty high up on the scale when i opened my eyes and jumped out of bed full of fear.

Wish it, dream it, do it - inspite the pain!

I think that when we're PF, it's so wonderful that we want to forget that ch has been part of our lives. When I was PF nearly a year, I sure did want to forget.

I'm sorry that you're in pain again, though. Red Bull and its generic equivalents have helped me. My trick: make sure that it's ice cold (I add coolers) and drink it as soon as you notice ch coming. It that doesn't work, there are plenty of other things to try.

PF wishes,
Sanna

Agonymum--

I hope you are able to get oxygen.  Insist, insist, insist that you get some.  Make sure it is the right flow with the right mask--look over at oxygen info button on left.  The coffee is helping me at this stage--make sure it is strong, black and very hot (for some reason that seems to help).  Good luck with the doctors.  Star
