Cluster in the USA

Hi,

I'm moving to the States (Redmond, WA) in a few months and as I haven't got the slightest idea how the American healthcare system works I'd be grateful for any hints on how it works with our lovely headpet. Wink

I've also noticed that the American oxygen tanks have different valve connections than the European ones (like pretty much everything else, for that matter). How hard is it to get an adapter for these things in the States? I'd bring my regulators with me but obviously they'd need adapters - is it even worth a hassle?

thanks
Marek

Not very well, I'm afraid. If you, or your spouse has a job secured with a company that offers health insurance, you'll have to wait and see what kind it is and how it works. If you don't, I'm afraid the cost of any health care will have to come out of your pocket. The regulators are different, but once you get medical oxygen here, the provider will also give you the regulator that you need. Each state varies, but usually there is some kind of indigent assistance available if you make little enough money.
Um, welcome to the US?  Undecided  It does have a lot of other stuff going for it, though. Keep us posted, and you know we're here as you have more questions that need answers.
pain free wishes, nani

Welcome to one of the finest families possible!  Oxygen is cheap, shouldn't have problem getting new parts.  Get a good doctor and enjoy your readings.  Painfree wishes to you!
