Finally seem to have developed a pattern

My past bouts always seemed to be regular. A bad hit at 2:00 - 2:30 in the morning. This time has been all over the place. Shadows and kip 2-3s in the night and bad hits in the morning with a shadow then following most of the day. Now three weeks in I seem to be settling into a regular pattern. A very mild hit at 2:30am, back to sleep by 3:00. A kip 2-4 at 4:30am. Walk and put ice bag on my head and neck, usually relieved by 5:30 but if I go back to sleep it's a Kip 7-9 at 6:30am that requires abortive treatment. I am developing a fear of sleep. Even though I am totally exhausted my mind doesn't want to let me go to sleep at night. Yesterday I fell asleep or passed out in a parked car in 95 degree heat. Luckily my wife came looking for me after 30 minutes. The exhaustion is almost worse that the headaches. At least it seems that way when you are not in the grip of the Beast. Thanks for letting me talk Big Guy

I wonder if your headaches being all over the place might have something to do with the fact that you had a nineteen-year remission...something like the beast re-setting itself after being gone so long. Don't know. Sorry you're having such a rough time. I once did the falling-asleep-in-the-hot-car thing when I was twenty. Woke up on my own, fortunately. Best wishes and hopes for PF times soon, George

Ah! The foreigners put on such airs Wearing the tangerine suits And their harlequin eyes. The pain they inspire Draws in harmonica melodies And the feathers of birds Which flame up at their touch. It all comes to light in the sheer Debonair. (Ellen)

Try breathing exercises. I, in pain, breathe in to 5 and breathe out to 7. Very easy and helps to get plenty of oxygen into your lungs. Oxygen is our friend, that's why I moved to the country, good clean air. Let me know how this helps. Have a painfree week, cheer!

Very well could be the long break. i wish it had been longer. No one should have to go through this, although I have to work hard not to wish just one cycle on the people at the insurance companies that decide we will only have 10 CH a month that need to be treated. pf days and nights Big Guy
