SCARED A PLANE TRIP MIGHT START A CYCLE!

I have read many people say that barometric pressure and plane trips are a trigger while in cycle, but has a plane trip ever started a cycle?

I went off all meds in Dec. '05.....I flew to Davenport the end of January....I did get hit...but it was tolerable.
On the return flight, I took Excedrin Migraine about an hour before boarding....I had no hit.
Same thing a couple weeks ago when I flew to Wisconsin. As long as I take the EM, I'm ok.
You may be just fine...try not to worry

My experience says No it won't trigger a Cycle but there is a remote chance of triggering a single mild attack.
If you are not near a " Cycle Time" you should be fine. I do try to have a preventative med with me, just in case.
Out of 25 flights since I've been a Clusterhead I have not been hit while in-flight. Hope this helps!

No problem thus far but then again I'm out of cycle when I fly. Keep your meds handy, stay prepared. 2400mg of Taurine before a flight might help.

So far, no hits during flight. On the same day, yes (I blame it the early wake ups). Flights have not triggered my cycle to start.
Just relax, be prepared and don't stress it too much. CH happends, if it happends. Live anyway.

thanks for the calming words.
I have myself prepared with imagran (imitrex) nasal sprays and the usual verapamils.
its been along time since ive flown internationally, (18yrs), and im pretty sure that flight was the first time the beast came out to say hello.
just a little concerned that the Beast may pack his bags to join me on my trip around Europe.
The worst possible thing would be to be getting hit during a 17hour flight to Dubai!!!!

In over 19 years, chronic I have only had one problem while in the air. And that was because I was not prepared. Sucked into that little vent in the bathroom that time. Now I take an Amerge or in your case some other prevent. before take-off.
