The beast has many names.

"For many years, cluster headache was called by a variety of names, such as migrainous neuralgia, histaminic headache, red migraine, and Horton’s headache. In 1952, the term, cluster headache, was coined and has been used since that time."

"Synonyms: Bing-Horton Syndrome, Histaminic Cephalalgia, Cluster-Migraine, Paroxysmal Nocturnal Cephalgia, Red Migraine, Erythromelalgia of the Head, Sphenopalatine Neuralgia, Migrainous Neuralgia"

I had heard of the Horton Syndrom but wasn't sure, Reason I asked when you run into old friends, x- co-workers and you tell them you have cluster headaches, they look at you like a wussy. Like ohh gee a headache? and then you say its in your face and then they ask why is it called a headache if its in your face then??? People just don't get it. Bascially If I told people I have a disease a syndrom Like Horners Syndrome, they just go,,,,ohh, I see and dont ask questions.... and don't assume we are all just a bunch of cry babies that should just take an asprin and go back to work.
Also I was veyr curious as to what it was too.
Thank you, both those links were great reads, I am going to print them off for my Neuro appt on Thursday. I like ammo when I go there. Smiley
