Hey people.

Just wondering here, but I had an experience with clusters that I never had before which was strange.

I was about 20 minutes into a kip 7-8 and was doing the normal thing that I do. Walking round in our living room, tears rolling down my cheek, using my left palm to press hard at my left eye.

During a hit, I will sometimes, when the pain gives me a tiny break, sit on the couch and "relax a little" before the pain spiral upwards again. While I was sitting in painheaven, the funny thing happened. It just stopped. It didn't just tone down like it normally does, it just stopped instantly.

This baffled me quite a bit, since I can't recall one time where that has happened.

Just so you know, I'm what you call mildly chronic, I seldom get hit by kip 9-10s but get hit by kip5-8 quite often. Also I'm on no medication.

Thomas--

I am new here but have been episodic for eighteen years.  That has never happened to me either--what you described.  I am happy that you got some relief instead of having to wait for the beast to wind down.  I am also hoping that maybe the beast is losing its power.  It is definitely a reason to be hopeful.
Wishing you PF nights.

Hi Thomas - have you seen Charlie's circulatory technique?  Although it has nothing to do with relaxation it sounds like you may be a good candidate.

Never had it happen.  If you figure out what caused that, though, and can repeat it, I'm all ears.

Ah! The foreigners put on such airs
Wearing the tangerine suits
And their harlequin eyes.
The pain they inspire
Draws in harmonica melodies
And the feathers of birds
Which flame up at their touch.
It all comes to light in the sheer
Debonair.

Hi mate, i am mildly chronic in the way that most of mine are kip8-10s but i tend to have a 2 or 3 week break between clusters.

and yes. this happens to me regularly. about 25% of my clusters just stop, instantly, as if they were never there in the first place.

One minute im dancing on the floor, the next im like "oh . . . . its ... gone !! "

wierd innit ?
iv just accepted that as norm as iv only just found this site and other sufferers.

I've had chronic ch for 4yrs. Most I wake with. If I wake with a mild one or feel one coming on I go to the gym. It hurts till I get warmed up, but then most times it aborts. Alot of mine work their way up the kip scale. It may start as a 3 or 4 then go away for a little while, then come back as a 7/8 sometimes worse.

The attacks last around 30-45 minutes if they get to go full circle.
