Your First Time (Part 2)

OH MY GOODNESS, I posted in the "Your first time" thread that my first CH was at age 16...I WAS WRONG!
I was chatting with my mother today telling her about CH.com and she asked me if I remembered those horrible headaches that I got when I was 8 years old. I told her no. She said when I was in little league football @ age 8 I started getting bad headaches. She mentioned that they even cut down the padding in my helmet because it might have been the cause...IT ALL IMMEDIATELY CAME BACK TO ME. I remembered everything (can't understand how I ever forgot). I ran into the garage and got my 21 year old helmet...the padding inside was cut in half. All these memories flooded my mind...until today I thought that I started getting CH at age 16..I WAS WRONG! I started at age 8 then had an 8 year remission before going "full on" episodic.
I remember trying to explain the pain to my parents (they didn't understand). I remember a picture that my mom has. It was taken after a game where I was asleep in the bathtub fully clothed with the water running over me. Everyone though it was so cute..."look how tired the little man was". That pic was taken after a bad headache...I was beat down from the pain...not the football game and no one knew it. MANY MANY  memories all came back at once.
They say the mind has a funny way of dealing with extreme pain. I wonder if my mind blocked all of those memories to help deal? I dunno...all I know is that I instantly remembered a part of my life that probably would have been gone forever if my mother hadn't mentioned the football helmet. Weird huh!

I recall my first full on cycle began in college in 1994. I thought it was from doing too many drugs. I thought that there was a correlation due to the 2 alumni events in which there was always an increase in certain powders which may effect the sinus. These events were in April and November........Sound familiar (episodic)

I have headaches of some sort fro my entire life.

I remember sitting in 5th grade and all of a sudden I got hit by a Mack truck. I screamed and writhed in pain and by the time my mom came to pick me up from the nurse, it was gone and I was fine........Sound familiar?

I went without diagnosis until 2004.

I can't believe that I have to bang my
Head against this wall again
But the blows they have just a little more
Space in-between them
Gonna take a breath and try again.
