Does it ever end?

I remember during his last cycle when I was researching, that we read something about the CH cycles usually end sometime in the 60's. Sean reminded me about this last nite. I can't remember where I read it. Are we recalling this correctly?

Maybe. Some who start early in life will outgrow ch in their 50's or 60's. Some who start in their 40's or 50's will be chronic and not out grow them. Some will never out grow them. It's a crap shoot.

What Bob is trying to say is that they'll stop, or they won't, or they'll stop for a little while, or a long while, and then they'll come back. They'll give you a 3 year break, and just when you're thinking about resigning as a card carrying CH member, BAM they're back. There is a guy in his 70's posting on this board that's still hoping to grow outta them. I personally would love to see you "grow outta them!" And if you don't, we're always here to commiserate with! Good luck. Guiseppi

M Honey, I'm 56 and can't remember a time without these. I don't think it ends. I get hit every 2 hours right now, in varrying intensities. This is the first year I've had this pattern and I must say I hate it. Charlotte

My Dad (also a CH sufferer) is into something like his 7th year of remission at 66 years old. He had some bad years there for awhile and then, the beast up and left. We can all only hope. Scott

I'm 53 now, and have been assaulted with them since I was thirteen. They used to show up twice a year, but now I seem to have a three-year remission in between. Just ending a cycle now, so what happens in Spring, 2009? Dunno. Guess we'll see. Perhaps I'll be an alumnus yet.... Best, George

It ends when it ends if it ends. Just cope the best you can and do not let it rule your lives! A lady on this board was recently diagnosed during her very first cycle at the ripe age of 71
