Where do I begin ? After starting what I call my terror attacks when I was nineteen, to still having them so many years later.

So then, let me start with first agreeing with all of the letters that describe crying. screaming. pounding my head on the floor and all of the rest. I will just try and put down most of the things that I have tried over the years without success.{This is not by any means all that I have tried} They last Two weeks to Four months}

Not in order, steroids, varapamil, lithium .prednisone, imitrex, oxygen, zomig/and nose spray.maxalt,amerege,lidocaine, the heavy stuff,vicodon,oxyconton.(which only makes me sick}.

I have tried acupuncture,acupreasure,ice packs, heat packs, health food stuff such as cq-10.butterbur,and countless lists of others
I have had psychotherapy. Pain specialists, chiropractor/s  and once when I lived in New York a doctor who put me to sleep for ten hours using a procedure called Codons Cocktail ( named after the Dr. .with the contention that the  procedure would break the cycle, but still the nightmares continued.
After ruling out migraines I was told they were due to tension. Well, I was a police officer for twenty two years, I have lost a partner, been it two major shootings and never got a headache.
I read an article that botox was a help with clusters, I called and was told it did in fact help clusters but that my insurance would not cover it. I spoke with my neurologist who told me that he would have to call my pharmacy, order the botox {$600.bucks}and then bring the medication to him and they at his office would inject it {$400.00 bucks more..

Thank God for credit cards, last Thursday I had the procedure done, seventeen injections in the temple, and neck.{REALLY,AFTER TERROR HEADACHES, THE PAIN WAS NOTHING}I was told that it would take two to three days to kick in, nothing happened until six days later where now I am getting very miner attacks only two or three a day as opposed to ten to twelve horrible ones..

So then has the Botox worked, or am I coming to the end of an episode/
I don’t know at this time, as this series has lasted seven weeks. anyway I wanted to share this information with all of you and ask if any one has had any experience with Botox.

EVERYONE HANG IN THERE, AND KEEP FIGHTING.

I say end of cycle also.  I don't believe it for a min.  I tried several injections every 3 months for a few years  as I was told it could take a few tries to get it in my system and working.  Well I have and I has done Nothing!  However, It did stop my migraines.  If you search the site on botox you will find several posts where people have tried it and it just doesn't work for ch.  I wish you luck in finding relief.
