I have had it…… with this CH!!

Hi
I got my appointment (on Wednesday) for the next (and hope) last meeting with the
Anaesthesiologist / pain specialist the neurologist and the Physiatrist / pain specialist, to try and determen the next Steps of my preventive treatment, as the GLOA seems to Have stopped “working” on me…….
To be honest I have had it…… with this CH, the doctors, and the meds,
Can’t I have my life back?

Mike I know just how you feel.
I am five months in on this cycle now and was just about suicidal.
I decided to call a headache specialist that I got off the list from this site and he
rediagnosed me with SUNCT instead of CH, they are similar and have a lot of the same symptoms except the pain spikes are short lived and you normally get hit during the day.
He has done blood work on me and had me get an MRI and MRA and seems to be very interested in getting me some help and it has made me feel a bit better.
Only problem is one of the causes for SUNCT is a brain tumor so I get to find out Tuesday if that is what I have.
All I can say but is I feel your pain and completely understand and am here for you as everyone here has been for me. Hang in there and maybe see a new doctor to get a different view.
Hope you get some relief soon.

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

There are many treatments to try, so don't give up, okay? I hope that your docs will find just the ticket to PF time.

Hey Michael, we all feel for you man.
I've posted before about doctors....try to find a headache specialist and let them know you ain't jokin' around. Most doctors (in my experiece hate to say) are either ignorant or insensitive...the first thing I asked each doctor I went to was "have you ever had a headache even close to migraine...or experienced your head exploding from the inside out" they all said no, which means they can never understand remotely. But the doctor I see now is very compassionate, and has helped me alot. So keep trying buddy. I know there's one who can help you...and feel for you! Trying all the meds sucks too but once you find the stuff that works man, it's more than worth it (as you know...)

Just got back from my appointment with the 4 wise man (and women), and guess what, all the new I new before from this board, but still we staked the way for my preventive treatment, and next to it some psychological help (witch is good) and anew avenue (for me) try hypnoses to reduce the anxiety.... will give it a shot....
But still I do really think I have had it with the doctors, and the meds!

4th month this episode. I could'nt agree with ya more.
