eye spasms

Yesterday was a really bad day for me. I had rolling hits starting about noon. They were all low kips, but by the end of the day I was wiped out. I got up this morning and I have had eye spasms all day with shadows and the usual tenderness.

My question I have never had the eye spasm thing before has anyone else? If so what did you do?

I get a twitch or tic in the eye on the affected side before and during a cycle - for me it is a sign that the beast is on the way.

Haven't found anything specific for it - preventives are the best bet, anti-inflammatories might help some.

Thanks Floridian, makes sense to me.  ( I get it too, but didn't have any help to offer.)

Mine does the twitch periodically. Used to do it regularly then just quit. Go figure. It bothered other people (like the ones sitting across from me) more than it did me. I just got used to it.

If it were just occasionally that would be one thing. It has been all day now and it is getting to the point of painful! The only time that it has stopped is the 2x’s when I have been getting hit today

Jody's eye will twitch for some time before many of his hits, but not all of them.  I'll get it sometimes but not everytime.  Never thought to do anything about it, I'd almost think the "getting painful" part would have more to do with the irritated Trig nerve itself?

Hi girl,

I get those eye spasm/twitches on the CH side every cycle. They NEVER hurt though, just annoying as hell.

I get so used to it happening, don't realize i'm doing it until the wife tells me to stop (she thinks I do it on purpose).  laugh

Mine does it.  Seems to happen right before a cycle is to begin.  It feels like a mini spasm or something.  Its annoying (no pain) but Ive gotten used to it.  Have gotten some looks from people though if they are looking at me when it happens.  It makes me look crazy I think.  Maybe I am  laugh

I get a twitchy eye quite often.  Very weird, especially when running to cope with a hit.  Like the pain isn't enough, right...lol.

Blepherospasm.  (I only know because I looked it up a few weeks ago for just this reason).

I get eye twitches before and after a cycle.  Doesn't hurt, but it's annoying.

Get this, though--I don't get them on the headache side, but the other side.  Is that weird or what?

Regards,

George

Ah! The foreigners put on such airs
Wearing the tangerine suits
And their harlequin eyes.
The pain they inspire
Draws in harmonica melodies
And the feathers of birds
Which flame up at their touch.
It all comes to light in the sheer
Debonair.

I get them at times…. my pain therapist (an anaesthesiologist) told me he can just offer a simple remedy that might work…. it helps me at times….. an infusion of camomile tea……  luke warm put on a pad over the eye it does relax a bit and loosens the tension……  try it can not hurt you..... only do good....
it doesn’t work for me during hits as I dislike "hot" stuff other then a "too“ hot shower  close to my head.....

have a wonderfull weekend and PF wishes

Don't know if this will help, since the eye twitches are related to CHs, but I've always heard that tonic water stops eye twitching.

Too bad we can't throw a little gin in there for good measure, huh?   Wink
