Infants and CH

Do infants get CH? It is hard enough to get a proper diagnosis on adults, it would seem to me to be impossible to diagnose infants, but if a brain abnormality causes CH than it stands to reason that infants born that way certainly would get them? Jamey P.S. Everytime I read about "brain abnomality" my mind thinks of Marty Feldmen in Young Frankenstein - "it was Abby something or other, yes Abby Normal thats it!" LOL

My son has been diagnosed with cluster headaches since he was three years old, he is now four and just out of his second cycle (four weeks pain free!) Sadly, he isn't the only one. It DOES happen. Helen

these threads make me sad. Jasper is my hero though. If that little boy can get hit, then forget about it and go about his day, so can I.

Helen, let Jasper know my congratulations - it's fabulous to be PF! I hope that he'll be PF for a long, long time. Wishing PF days to all, Sanna

When my baby had cholic, it reminded me a good deal of clusters. It always came at the same time of day (early evening), and then seemed to burn itself out. He screamed like he was being tortured and nothing could distract or comfort him. I did some reading on it (cholic) at the time, and it seems like an even bigger mystery than clusters (the idea that it is digestive has been largely discredited). If memory serves me, one MD thinks it may be related to muscular contractions caused by the infants inability to manufacture appropriate levels of melatonin.
