Question about symptoms

I've been having a very sore scalp and have lost about 7 pounds with my clusters this time. Has any one else had this problem with theirs? My wife thinks that my loss of sleep and being very tired has something to do with it. Any thoughts?

I get very bruised feeling on the scalp after a few days of dancing and battleing. You have to remember that the nerves that run threw the scalp have been irritated beyond imagine by the rubbing, banging, scratching, intence heat or cold (whatever your preference). The weight loss can be a metabolic thing if you consider that you are pacing, rocking and the sweating and the lack of appetite.

Big S What Redd said and more. These things will cause you to feel things you've NEVER felt before, do things you've NEVER done before and act like you've NEVER acted before. But as a wise old CHer once said: Don't sweat the small stuff and most stuff is SMALL stuff. You just learn to live with this stuff and eventually you get used to it and think you've ALWAYS been this way (this from a chronic!). Seriously, we can analyze everything to death, but in the long run, things are gonna turn out like they're gonna turn out and that's just how it's gonna be. Our life has changed with CH and that's just a fact. Why isn't important as much as just getting thru the day to day. First we have to get thru the guilt of having them, then the embarrasment of having them in front of someone (that's why we tend to hide), then the depression, but finally we all get to the point of acceptance and figure out that we've got CH and there's not a damn thing we can do about it except accept it and quit wondering why we're the "chosen" one. Then we find our own formula for dealing with them and life gets better, our family gets better with it and all's well with the world again. (well maybe not all's well, but we DO learn to live with what life deals us). Hang in there and PF days to you. Hugs BD

One cycle I lost 30lbs. (no exageration) in less than 6 weeks. Down from 158lbs to 128lbs. I am one of us that ends up vomiting during K10's though if I don't have the right abortive. After the cycle ended the weight came back. I've had the sore scalp too. Not always. I think Redd is right about this. Best of luck, Skyhawk5, Don

Yip, losing weight because during cycle the appetite just goes for a walk and sore and sensitive scalp, sure... I always say my hair hurts.

What Jas said, for sure. Just one more way the Beast plays with us. At the peak of cycle, I can hardly stand to comb my very short little hairs. I can't afford to lose weight though - so my hubby nearly force feed me. Kris
