Imitrex Statdose now available in 4mg dose

Just found out from my Neuro that Imitrex got FDA approval for a 4mg dose. Here is what I found on Glaxo's site:
Quote:(NDC 0173-0739-00) IMITREX STATdose System ® , 4 mg, containing 2 prefilled single-dose
syringe cartridges, 1 IMITREX STATdose Pen ® , and instructions for use.
(NDC 0173-0739-02) Two 4-mg single-dose prefilled syringe cartridges for use with IMITREX
STATdose System. |

Probably won't be much in savings over the 6mg packs and if you already split those you are money ahead for sure. But, if you don't want a full 6mg dose and don't want to play around with the injector kit for partial injections, here is the answer.

Thanks for posting this as I was not aware of the lower dosage and will try it. I realize that I don't post much, but read the board on a regular basis and feel a part of the "family" nonetheless. Think I'll go to bed now.

Too bad it will probably not be any cheaper which means it will be better to get the 6mg and divide by 2. 
Hope they don't decide to eliminate the 6mg leaving us no option to save.

Personally, I would just as soon have a vial of Imitrex and draw up what I needed. Giving myself an injection is sticking a knife in the Beast. But, I'll take whats offered. I haven't seen any pricing on the 4mg kits yet.
