the most amazing thing

I experienced two episodes yesterday while awake- one at 8pm (couldnt pick my daughter up from cheerleading- my husband had to ) and another one at 9pm, each one lasted about twenty minutes. Normally, I have only gotten nailed while I am asleep. But that isnt the amazing part. The amazing part is I went to bed at 10:30 with my 12mg of melatonin and my usual dose of fear and dread- and slept until the alarm went off at 4:30.....Yay!!!

The mealatonin works great to get you thru the REM sleep. That's great rapunzel.... At least you got some rest. It gives you the rest to fight the day hits.... Hugs BD

Your alarm goes off at 4:30!!!! I believe it'd replace that puppy with one that is more reasonable (Actually, my internal alarm goes off between 5 and 5:30) Glad you go a good nights' sleep-does wonders for your outlook! PFDAN kathy

Good for you. So far 6mg works for me. If I do it three nights in a row, it kills my cycle. At least I believe that happened last time. Don't doubt not even for a second that I forgot where the melatonin is. Come August, if my cycle starts on schedule, I'll try again.

it happened again ....*crossing fingers* I haven't had a ch for 32 hours...maybe this cycle is ending....shadows this evening though, so I will have to wait and see. Of course, it is now bedtime so I have the usual fear and dread for company right now. Wanted to ask- I was told by someone the other day that Melatonin is known to increase depression. Has anyone heard that before? (not sleeping and ch when i am sleeping and minding my own business also increases depression ) Kim

I've been on it for a year or more and can't tell that it's caused any depression (any more than usual). And I've been thru several life upheavels including the death of my husband. People will tell you about anything, but it looks to me like a good night's sleep will help curtail depression rather than cause it. My 2 cents. Hugs BD
