asking advice from fellow chronics

I have gone through the past few years tyring to ignore everything until I hit the wall, and this doesn't really work that well.

I have a few questions - what is the difference between a shadow and a kip 1-4 or a slient cluster?  I always have counted those as pf but if they can be used to gauge what's coming and what to avoid or start doing then I would like to know more.

I don't have the internet at home so I don't have as much time to search the threads as I'd like.  If someone could explain or link topic here for me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Also, I have an adversion to meds but they do ease it some.  Does not taking meds make a person go chronic?

Around the time I became chronic, I had a bad experience with Verapamil where I got slammed with hit after hit after hit until I stopped taking it, but that could have just been the end stage of the cycle.  Since I took it the whole cycle, I had no comparison.

Depakote worked for the early part of a cycle but the end pain levels and frequency were unbearable.  I had a blood test and was informed that I had just the right amount in my blood and it was working right.  That was on the 2nd day of 5 days at kip 8-9.  So I stopped that also.

Thank you for your help.  I will check in later.

I also wanted to apologize for the hit and run nature of my posting.  It's just that I have access for 15 minutes or an hour at a time.  I plan to get the internet at home but have to get a better computer.  Mine is only good for homework printing.

Check your PM's.

I hope this helps but as I say there this is how I judge for me, also everyone sees it differently.

Charlotte,   We will meet in Sacramento next week-end but let me answer a few of your questions.

A shadpw lasts and lasts.  A Kip 1-4 goes on to become more.  rapidly.

No.   No one knows what makes one go chronic but it isn't that.

Hope that helped Char;otte...you can ask BobPahlow the rest of any questions you have in Sacramento.   Wink
