I'm pregnant and not finished with my cycle. I went off all medications about a week ago and haven't been hit yet. Am I safe? What if I get one? I'm kind of nervous about not being able to take imitrex.

Thank you! Yes this is my first. I also heard that oxygen is safe, but have any other mothers had to use oxygen while they're pregnant?

Hi Lissa, firstly congratulations! Secondly to the best of my knowledge O2 is the only safe abortive to use while pregnant.. imitrex is a no no for definite. Good luck and here's hoping you won't need anything but oil for the stretch marks! love Helen

WOO HOO!!! Nothing says loving like a bun in the oven! I would say oxygen is about the best bet, then the water and all the ice packs things like that. There is also thought that supplimental oxygen in pregnant womend might be benifitial. Congrats. MYNM156

Congratulations! You may want to check out my post FOR WOMEN where I have shared my hormonal history. You have not had a headache since finding out, which is a good sign. Maybe this physical, hormonal change may end your cycle. All the best to you.

Big congrats, Lissa. Lots of women report that being pregnant either stoped a cycle or caused them to miss a cycle completely. Hopefully, you are one of the lucky ones for whom this rings true. So when is the little one due?

I too think it is a good sign that you haven't gotten a hit yet. I went PF through each pregnancy (three times). But I did have a cycle flare up each time about 2 or 3 weeks post-partum. My OB ok'd O2 (although I never needed it). But always best to check with your doc first. Congratulations! And I hope you are PF for awhile! Heather
