Day 15...Could my first round be over??

Well, hello again...after getting through the night pain free, I awoke this morning with no shadow. Does this mean I am out of the woods this time around? I don't know if it is the Verapamil, the coffee, the Cafergot, or just the timing, but I hope this signals the end of Round 1. I can't thank enough those of you who have responded to my recent posts. You have been a tremendous source of info, support, and humor. I hope that in the days, weeks, and months to come, I'll be able to provide the same to you and newcomers to this strange new world. I'll be demanding the O2 and the injectable Imitrex from the neuro on Thursday, and through a LOT of reading re: alternatives, have already placed a few orders in prep for the next round, whenever that may be (or for use in this round, should it not yet be over). Thanks for your suggestions and encouragement in these regards. Day 15...the sun is shining, I am headache-free, and I am venturing outside of my house for the first time in 2 weeks. Wish me luck, and my best hopes for us all. --Phil

ONe thing -- if you have insurance. If you get a script for Trex or cafergot or whatever -- get it filled every time it's available and keep it for next time... (and there will be a next time). don't wait for the insurance to tell you that you can only have so much and that's it..... Keep it stockpiled.... Something a lot have had to learn the hard way... Hugs BD

I do the same with Relpax. It is my savioir in cycle and my insurance will only pay for six a month. too bad I need about 10 a week and at $23. each., I stockpile all year to buil up reserves. My Doc helps out with samples in lean times also. Glad to hear you are feeling good today. Me too so far. Rich

| WISE WORDS!!!!!!!!!!!! Wait until you go a month without a twinge. If so then you are most likely clear! Also don't worry about it either way. Find your tools to fight the condition then live the best that you can! Eric

If you really want to know, drink a beer or some red wine and wait 20 minutes.

Absolutely stockpile! And don't worry - expiration dates don't count. Most meds stay good for at least 8-10 years. So, if it's a long time till next time around, you'll still have ammunition. On a dark note, don't let 1 PF day fool you. The beast doesn't give up easily! Just enjoy it while you can. Hugs, Kris
