I bookmarked this site years ago but never went any farther why should I, I didn't have clusters any longer. My first cluster began in 1972 and I had no Idea why, Was it my fault, Did I do something wrong. I didn't know. The Doctors I did see suggested a psychological problem or no problem at all. There wasn't even a name for the headaches. I do know at the time of my first cluster that I had a cold or flu and I had taken some nyquil. Anytime after that I always related clusters with nyquil. I suggest for clusterheads to stay away from smoking or working in dusty areas. If you are a clusterhead I don't need to tell any of the details about the pain and related debilitation. In the early 1990's I began getting heartburn, I suppose from the meds I had been taking to rid myself of clusters. I began taking tagamet or Generic Cimetidine 400MG daily which eventually went to 400MG twice daily. The good news my clusters left. I thought maybe because I had gotten older I may have outgrown them. I did not relate taking Tagamet to my clusters leaving. I did not like taking meds and decided to try and change my eating habits so as not to have to take tagamet. Well, in about three months the clusters were back and as you can guess I have not stopped taking my heartburn medicine since and I also have not had a cluster headache in about 15 years. Timcarl The reason I wasted time on registering on this stupid site was because I saw a segment on the news and recalled my clusters. I hoped maybe someone would read it and end up with the results I have. For you who are making fun of my post all I can say is you deserve what you get. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I never considered clusters a joke.

Nice try. I've tried them all - cimetidine, famotidine, rama-lama-ding-dong-dine. I still take famotidine every day. Great for acid reflux, don't do shit for CH. If you ever find a cure, let us know. That word gets tossed about here every once in awhile. The result is always the same.

One of the reasons for associating Nyquil with CH is because Nyquil is 25% alcohol. Alcohol is a trigger for CH. Your 1st. sentence and your last sentence confuse me, as ch.com has only been in existance for 9 years. One reason to stick around when you're pain-free is to help others who aren't so lucky. There is no guarantee that your head won't start back up again some day and you will certainly want to know all the latest information in dealing with them.

well. He sure edited his original post before he went guest, didn't he? Still can't decide why he came here to this "stupid site" as he says... Was he selling something? He sure made himself out to be the biggest A$$ didn't he? How sad, because before I replied earlier and before he went guest, I noticed on his profile he only had 7 posts..but he'd been here since 2004 Weird people come and go here....
