Hi ... my name's Cory and I'm so glad to have found this site! Excited to find people that I know truly get what this is and not roll their eyes or consider me a drama queen; who actually understand this whole cluster business and can help me make my way through dealing with this new diagnosis. Several doctors/neurologists/tests, etc. later, cluster headaches is the winner. Have hit on this site and read up on your info a few times in my efforts to gain knowledge and there's truly some great information and support here. Does seem like you are a family! That's awesome. Good information, nice people (looked through the photos from yearly meetings). This site is a haven for the misunderstood (work/family). Thanks in advance to anyone who reaches back out towards me! coryehenson@yahoo.com

Welcome, Cory. Happy to meet you, and looking forward to getting to know you. Feel free to ask any questions about treatments, or just feel free to vent if you need to. Download the pdf at: http://www.ouch-us.org/medications/oxygen/o2links.htm for excellent information on the use of oxygen to treat CH. Oxygen, properly administered, is an effective and safe abortive treatment for a great many of us. Best wishes, George

Guys I tell you what..I was leary about posting on here, I haven't been in chat rooms in YEARS (cop shops...I was a deputy....and military....I'm ex army) and thought twice (okay three times) about posting information but finally said what the heck and joined up. As far as supporters...I have a few. I'm a single mom of two teenage boys (They ROCK) and they are here for me...and I have a friend who is checking out websites and sources everywhere to try to hook me up with good information. Course....I hide from them when these things hit...I don't want these guys to see me whimpering and writhing around like a mortally injured animal... So.....I scoped out you guys...and already support! Thanks so much!

Hi Cory, and welcome. This place IS a family. I found it several years ago, and for some strange reason (probably because of all of the fruitcakes here - myself included), I can't stay away for long. Even when I'm out of cycle, I find myself here constantly, just to see how my adopted brothers and sisters are doing. Please don't be afraid to post here. Ask any questions you need to. We will all try to help you in whatever way we can, even if it's only to lend a shoulder. Sandy

Hello Cory, Welcome to this awesome website. I, like you are also a new member. Dealing with the pain we go through, isnt easy, but i think as time goes on, were going to find people on here that will give us comfort knowing we are not alone. I hear you as far as liking to be alone when you have a hit. I dont want anyone seeing me either, because i feel embarrased about it. But, i think opening up your heart and mind here is the best medicine. Take care Cory, and all my hopes and prayers for nights of rest and PF sleep.
