Damn it.

I have been pain free for almost three years. I started shadowing yesterday and got woken up by a shadow last night (how weird is that)

Called the doc this morning and was in the office by noon. Started the Flexeril to relax the neck and am now armed with O2 and waiting.

And scared, very freakin' scared. I know what is coming if the beast comes back.

I hate the gnawing fear when he comes back. The good news is we're all still here for and with you! Do you use any other meds as a prevent? Do you have any additional meds as abortives? I treat my oxygen like a security blanket when on cycle, never outta my sight! But I also use lithium as a prevent and imitrex jab when all else fails.

Hoping you have a mild, short cycle and an even longer remission this time!

If it does hit I'll hit the steroids and verapamil. I hate both. The prednisone make my face swell up like a clown and the V makes my whole body tender to the touch. The last cluster I was able to withstand it with out either. The time before that I have two rounds of Pred and enough V to bury a city.

So I'll see how it goes. I've been at this for 35 years now.

Hi Cakelady

Like you, I've been pain free and gone a long time. Like you, I'm in the "Oh hell, here we go again" phase of things. What a drag, I thought I'd gotten over this whole thing forever.

All the best to you.
