:)Finally.....after seventeen triies....I have made it here to post....but not without the help of Charlie...the kindest and mosst patient and tolerant man alive...and a crazy individual named Chuck who says my entire problem was due to the fact that "im just aditzzy broad".....I love you too Chuck!!!
I am thrilled to be here....I new to the group, but not new to cluster headaches....I have been chronic for the past thirteen years...I look so very forward to getting to know all of you, be any kind of help I can be...I been there right along with you..I just didn;t know any of you existed....thankyou for having me...Im so glad to have all of you....Sherri

Thankyou all for responding to me...I would love to hear and tell you my story....it seems we have such similar stories....the emotions are so very much the same. I can definately see the difference in those of us that are long timeer....there's a quiet resignation....to do the best we are able to do to live with this.... and something I must share with you....It is through my new dear friend Charlie's posting...that lead me to him...that I found this out.... He shared a technique a neuro passed on to him...about mentally pushing your blood flow away from your head to your hands. Sounds a little too simple..huh?? Yeah for me too. I have been on so many damned meds that Ive felt so incredibly horrible from...through barbaric procedures... Anyway I tried Charlie's technique nearly immediately. I got hit and SIMPLY JUST BEGAN TO THINK ABOUT MY HANDS...nothing more....dont overthink it...and I swear to my utter amazement...it abborted seven attacks/hits in a row...within seconds....completely gone...now Im still using the technique...and am on attack number 17...and it doesnt instantly abbort every one...but does SHORTEN DURATION...according to Charlie...you put your arm on the table (NOT during HIT) practice when your're not in pain...and you just focus on your hand...it should become warm and flush to a light red. His neuro could easily do this, as he did it without barely focusing in front of Charlie. Charllie feels this is what saved his sanity....if I had oxygen along with this...I may just be able to have a pretty close to normal life...I find oxygent ot be the best abbortive....struggling with insurance for it at this time. I have to get more computer savvy at posting....I have to have Chuck put me through some more abuse...but he has met his match....this is going to be good......I love you all and thank you...Sherri

We're a bunch of nutz here, but we're serious about helping each other and you'll not find a better bunch of people anywhere. Just wait till you meet some of us face to face -- NOW THAT is an experience. Linda is a LOT taller on her computer.
I've been here since 98 (but I'm OLD) and there's very few days that go by that I don't check in to see what everyone is doing. This becomes your home and your family. Especially if you're chronic (as a lot of us are).
So drag up a chair and sit a spell (I'm also from the south so get used to the southern writin'). Welcome home kiddo...

The Ladies have a special place in my heart (no chuck, you lewd, crude and lacivious sleazeball, not that way) I love you girls   We are NOT supposed to have this...six men to one woman...in this case...they can have it...I have even been told I CANT HAVE CH'S (and nearly jumped over the desk and beat the Dr)because it's a man's disease..are you freakin kidding me??? Im a text book case and have been since day freakin one...Hey sorry I went on and on.,...Just want to thank all of you...your responses have overwhelmedme, soothed my soul, given me some of my lost faith in humanity back...and nearly caused me to choke to death on coffee in front of the computer...I LOVE ALL OF YOU, oh and you too Chuck. One of my old ideas is to write out on a wallet size card or whatever, a short explanation of your CH and a list of all the drugs you take and what CH can do to you. Anything that helps medical types know that you are serious and not an addict is good.
Ever since I started taking a handful of pills every day since my T. I. A. or whatever it was, I get asked every time I talk to doctors. Damned if I can pronounce or spell them all so I printed the drugs and doses and taped them on an old business card and with clear strapping tape for a homemade laminate. It works.
Glad you are getting around here now and that Chuck didn't scare you away on the phone.

bad nite or should I say morning...I regained consciousness on the floor at the foot of the bed twice...my teeth chattering, I was drenched...confused..immediatellly panicked...I didnt know what happened to me...after thirteen years...it still takes me a few minutes to realize what's going on...well what can I say...this is just part of my life...
I have a few questions re posting on the board...I dont want everyone to have to come to my posting all of the time...I just don't know how to post anywhere else...also...I like the "more smilies" and would love to be able to have that...as I don't know to call it...something I can use all the time in emails...not just here on the board....I don't have OUtlook...I have comcast email...although I may have outlook and don't know it...but I like the options on outlook...like the wallpaper and "more smilies"....how to I keep or create a file or window to always use them...if that's possible
