Chronic from Scandinavia

Hello, I found your site a while ago and have found very helpful and relieving when putting the pieces of my identity back together. First year after the diagnosis has been very difficult as I have never ever been sick before in my life so couldn't think that something like this can happen to me. I have thought my life is over and now i just sit and wait for the grey hair to grow. I have two of those now n they grew after i started the medication.. I pull them off whenever i see they are back in my head. I tried kudzu n Red Bull, but they didn't work out, too bad. My next attempt is going to be the raw vegan diet etc. alternative chi kung hippie stuff, this CH is obviously starting to do its job to my mental balance, haha! but as for the raw vegan, I have to wait for summer and warmer weather before going full raw. Has anyone tried eating raw vegetarian only and were there any response? I have had my trouble since November 2004, when I was at age of 28, and this has continued ever since without a remission. 6-7 seizures a day, now after starting a medication a year ago, only one or two per day, with a milder but scary shadow pain there almost continuously. Nights are OK, I sleep like a log! Have had night time seizure only thrice. Sort of paralysis and mild cramping of the right side of the face, arm and even leg (!!) or how you say, kinda TIA symptoms are included into the seizures, esp. before the pain starts. My doc said it's the aura and has to do with veins contracting so cannot take imigran or other triptan type meds. Meaning I hav to try to survive on an overdose of Verapamil, and painkillers. Have had some experimenting also with Klotriptyl (vivid dreams u get with it, relaxes the shoulders nicely), GABApentin (creepy one, hallucinogenic!) etc. migraine / epilepsy prevention treatments but tend to get tolerance to them so the pain is back within one week. Oxygen has no effect, which I am actually glad about, coz it would have been too expensive a treatment to continue. I have problem on the right side, behind the eye, Horner's syndrome is quite visible now, looks terrible in the photographs bytheway, as if been in a fight or something! I would like to share experieces with anyone having a TIA type of aura along with CH, i.e. numbness of the limbs, speaking or swallowing problems maybe included as in my case n pls let me know if there some medicine that has worked out and especially if the symptoms are dangerous and what happens after having these aura symptoms for ten years? Pain I can handle now, but am worried about slowly becoming paralysed fromthe right side of the body. I also have been wondering if the severe ear infection that I was treated for right before this problem started at the same side of the head was connected with the start of the CH. Does someone have a history of an ear/ eye/throat or other head area infection preceding the first CH cycle? Wish you painfree and sunny spring days! My thoughts are with you who are sharing this same Hortonish destiny. -L.
