Hello, I am new here even thoug i have been reading the message boards on and off, this is my first post and wanted to drop by and introduce myself. The reason i found this board was because this weird head aches i have been getting, going back in time, maybe three years ago, i got this head ache on my right side of the head only on that side, it gets my eye and forhead right above the right eye, my temple really close to my hear, my neck and throat and the back of the head, right where the neck begins ( all of these are only on the right side) the pain is not very intense, its more like a boring pain, but its uncofortable, it also get my face, below my ear, since i got it the first time, the always go away for like six, seven maybe even more months, its painful but not that intense as you guys describe here, when i get them the usually last for 3-4 weeks, getting probably like two each day, very unconfortable but not debilitating pain, sometimes it gets me sad, i smoke probably a pack a day, but i realized this time, that if i drink alcohol, i will get them, this time around the pain was bored but throbbing at the same time, never excrusiating, i did not drink yesterday just to see if that was one of the causes to bring it up, and in fact i did not get it, dont know if its because they are about to go in remissing again, but this morning while i was in bed i felt it, very light in comparison to the ones i get if i drink, it went away pretty quickly too, they usually last for about 15-20, then i feel just the sequel of the pain for probably about an hour. I dont really know if they are cluster head aches or not, i have not gone to the doctor, but for the characteristics, I think they are, just very light in pain, compared to others experiences, my eye gets pretty red and it feels like the eye is exhausted and wants to close, sometimes lagrimating, but not very profusely, and a stuffed nose, also on the right side, if i touch my neck it hurst, that boring pain. Basicaly that is what i feel, and i have been noticing that they last for probably a month, never longer that that, and they they go away for months, even if i drink they do not return, then all of a sudden I start feeling that boring pain again, it excalates and turns anoying but like i said never to the point of banging my head against the wall. I have been reading some of your stories with this affliction, I am sad and happy at the same time, sad because i can only imagine what you guys and girls have to go through with this, and happy cause i dont think i will ever find people so brave and determined to fight such a tough opponent, I dont want to sound like a preacher or anything like that, but who knows like they said God works in misterioius ways, maybe without knowing it you guys are the last soldiers standing, the hope, that light at the end of the tunnel, that blow of fresh air, for people that are hopeless and need all the support they can get, my hat goes off to you all, I admire and respect all this work you have been doing, I admire the courage, all the insightful information you provide, and if one day the find a cure for CH, you will all be part of that achievment, and I am sure you heart will be filled with joy, not only for you but for all the people that will be able to lead a normal life thanks to your support, care and love. Hopes up and from the bottom of my heart keep that courage up,remember you are the last ones standing in this fight, the protectors. PS: do you guys have like a fund people can donate, or you can just donate for server costs?

http://www.ouch-us.org/index.shtml In the links to the left of the above page at OUCH there is a "donate to OUCH" button. DJ, our web master, owns ch.com and pays for the site out of his own pocket for almost 9 years now. At the bottom of where you are now reading this there is a PayPal button. This is where a lot of us send, whatever we can, to help defray the costs for the site. Thank you in advance. Linda
