Hi everyone Smiley ,

I'm Stephan, 41 years old from Stuttgart and an episodic "clusterhead" since 1982; Oxygene and cortison works well for me, since I've found out what I'm suffering from in 2001.
I found your website on http://www.ck-wissen.de/, a german CH-site and message board.

I had my last episode in 2006, starting at the first day of my Israel vacation (attack on the beach-funky! Grin ), and that's my question:

Me and my wife visit your country in may, and I'm a little bit afraid of getting an episode there. I have to carry hard on my photo equipment  Grin and don't want to take a oxygene bottle with me.
Is there any hotline for clusterheads in US?
I found the "where we live"-site, but I'm clammed to contact people that don't know me. Also there are few respective no people in some regions I visit.

Is it easy to get imigran/triptan in US, or do I need a prescription from a local doctor?

Thanks very much, sorry for my english (school's a lang time ago.. Roll Eyes ), take care!

Stephan

Stephan,

Yes, you need a prescription from your Doctor for Imitrex as well as oxygen.   Once you get here, there should be no problem getting either filled.  Look up in a phone book under medical supplies for a Comapnay called Lincare, or Apria and they should be able to set yopu up with an oxygen tank that you can return on your way out of the country.

Where in the US are you going to be?

There are many of us all over the place who would be happy to help with any questions.

No, I never tried. But a (german) prescription would be no problem here.

I read in a german messageboard that it's impossible to bring injections into the plane to US. Spray is no problem, they said.
