Hi....I have had these headaches for over 20 years. After 10 years I found out what they really where after going to several doctors and several MRI's and cat scans. I am in a cycle now and for the first time I am getting rebound's from imitrex injections. I also take 120mg daily of verapamil. I have used imitrex for about 4 cycles now spanning about 4-5 years. I get a cycle every 12-18 months in recent years. Any insight to the rebounds and how to control them...thanks...glad I found this site

Sadly, Imitrex does seem to cause rebounds in some people. I guess the answer is to use Trex as seldom as possible. Have you tried oxygen? It is one of the best first-line abortives out there, as it is safe, cheap, and it works for about 70% of us. http://www.maplefallswebdesign.com/misc/oxygen/oxygen.htm
