Hello from France :D

Hi everybody,

Im new here, and was starting to browse the forum, but i have a looooooot to catch up lol so i will introduce myself before reaing as much as i can.

Im from France, and im a 30 years old girl (dont like woman, makes me older Cheesy).
Ive been suffering from Cluster Headaches since August 2000 and ive been diagnosed only half December 2006.

Before that, i always thought i was suffering from hard migraines and was not doing more than taking some pills, or "cow-boy" coffees, hot showers and other more with no effect....I even punched my head against the walls or with wotever i could find close to me (mobile, remote....crazy things).
The doctors i was consulting always stayed on migraine, so i had eyes education, then wearing glasses, then relasation but it was always the same, it was coming 3 or 4 times a year withoutw any rest for some weeks.

Beginning of november, i saw on the french new a little interview of a girl sitting on her bathroom floor and crying like i used to do so many times. Then i heard her describing her pain and i thought "omg, somebody like me". Then they were giving a link to the french association for CH and it was really a sensation of "woawww, somebody enlightened my life, i might suffer from that and there r ways to avoid the big pain".

So, ive been to a specialist and since half november, im treated with some pills and the magical injections that made me find a relief back after 10 weeks of daily pain.
Ive then started to get more explanations and informations on this disease and found ur website which has to be really interesting considering the members u  have here around.

Good luck to everybody here and ill cya around.
Cheers
Trinity

P.S : sry for my english if im not using the good terms Cheesy

Trinity, welcome to the looney bin Grin, Your English is fine and I am sure that we will want to know all about how they treat CH in France. I am glad that you found us because now you will see just how very many of us there are that will understand what you have dealt with alone.

I will be running back and forth to the computer as it is a big football day. The real kind where huge guys try to tear each other apart Roll Eyes

Warm regards from a cold South Carolina.....Tim

Hi Trinity
Welcome to the best little nut house around, every thing you need to know about CH is right here.
Your English is just fine; it’s about 100% better than my French.

Cheers

The pain they inspire
Draws in harmonica melodies
And the feathers of birds
Which flame up at their touch.
It all comes to light in the sheer

Hi Trinity,

Thank you for introducing yourself and letting us know a little bit about you. I'm sorry that you've been afflicted with Cluster Headaches.  I am happy that you saw the news broadcast of the girl also suffering with CH.

So many of us know what it was like to have cluster attacks without knowing what they were.

I hope you stay awhile. You sound like a sweet girl.

with warm regards,
Tony

Welcome to the board, try and take as much information from here as you can to your doctor, hope he can read English.  Grin
Make sure to ask him about oxygen it seem to be a great abortive for most here just make sure he gives you a high volume regulator and a non re-breather mask.

Sorry you had to find us but glad you did, hope you get some PF (Pain Free) time soon.
