I cant express how much better i feel now, knowing that im not alone in this struggle what seems to be for my life and sanity as a human being.

Ive been suffering from my clusters for about 5 years now. It wasent until maybe 2 years ago that i was finally diagnosed with this debilitating disease. Ive read alot on this forum and have learned so many new tools to use in this fight against the "beast". That word describes so good i cant even tell you all. Just to know that i can come here with my problems and share everything i need to with such passionate people makes more difference then you all know. Ive just ordered my medigas or 02 you can say and am going to get the clustermasx soon. I am currently taking the imitrex shots and they seem to do wonders, but i like to only take them when absolutly necessary. I even went out today and bought some monster and rockstar drinks as i read on here that they might be a good abortive, which sounds like a great idea. Anyways ihope to learn alot more from you all and hope to speak with you all soon..

Welcome, Mike.

If you are prescribed Verapamil, be certain that you know and understand the cautions against using energy drinks containing taurine.  The combination can apparently lower blood pressure to dangerous levels in some individuals.

Again, welcome.  I hope this is a short and uneventful CH cycle for you.

Best,

George

Mike you may want to read up on the Imitrex tip on the left, there are many that say you only need about a third of a shot to abort and at the cost and the limited number the doctor will give you, the tips can help you make them last longer and cost less in the long run.
Welcome to the funny farm, glad you found us stick around.

Hi Mike!
Sorry I don't have as nifty as a picture...hehehehe.
If this is your first time using o2 and you don't get the hang of it at first, don't dispair!!!  I'm so agitated and wiggly during hits that I had a hard time keeping the mask on and getting quick at putting it on at the VERY first sign..and even knowing exactly what the very first sign is for you (I actually get a little itchy in my eye and around it before any of the classic cluster stuff starts so I put it on then at once I caught that pattern it worked so much better).  I wanted to give up with the o2 because it kinda worked but not really but everyone here kept pushing me with it and once I got the hang of it it became a lifesaver!  Still getting help with it as my prescription is wrong, so never give up to get what you need!  And always ask for help here everyone is super and some have been dealing with this for umm longer than I've been alive!
Hope this cycle isn't too bad for ya....

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.
