Clusters a lifesaver?????

Long story, try to make it short.

When I 1st started experiencing clusterheadaches last spring, I thought I had an infection in a tooth.  After many Dentist visits and no relief, I went to an ENT thinking maybe I had a sinus infection even though I only had sinus problems while I was in pain from the headaches.

During the exam the Dr. noticed my thyroid was enlaged on the right side.  After having an ultrasound and biopsy of my thyroid I was diagnosed as having thyroid cancer.  I never would have went to this Dr. had it not been for the headaches I was experiencing.

I am having a thyroidectomy after the new year and hopefully the cancer has not spread to the lymph nodes.  I'm keeping posititve thoughts that it was detected early.

I do not know if any of this is connected to the clusterheadaches, but if I had not been experiencing them I may not have found out about the cancer until it was too late.

BTW I haven't had any bad clusters for weeks Grin, only shadows, maybe once or twice a day.  Still haven't been to the nuro.  Last appt had to be reschduled.  Going in Feb.

Beth,
Will be praying for ya-that the thyroid cancer was caught early, and has not spread.  Would be a bonus to have a break from the clusters also.
Feel free to PM me if you need to talk....
