stroke now cluster headaches

Hello everyone I had one stroke 3 months ago. They put me on blood thinning medicine (2 capsules per day). Then I got another stroke, smaller and then the headaches start. The doctor said he thinks it is clusters headache, but wants to send me to a nuerologist. The headaches started after stroke 2, and got better when they gave more blood thining tablets and steoroids to stop the brain swelling. But hoo-boy, these are bad. My left side is coming back, but it is hard for me to do to much to long. So please be patient with me. Sometimes I think it is amazing what hurdles are cast before us, so we can overcome.

Welcome, brother. Sorry for the pain you've been having. Take your shoes off and hang around, this place is filled with some very knowledgable people.

Welcome and sorry you have to deal with this horror as well. I began blood thinners in June. I had a TIA....maybe. Anyway I haven't had a serious hit since 1991. The pills haven't had an effect. Stick around. You will get more from us. Charlie
