New to this
Ive had cluster migraines for over 10 years now every year since then they have came at different times but mostly in the winter months. I tread the time that they come each year and they have only skipped years once.
I've  had about every test I could afford, every diferent pill, spray, injection, preventative medicine, oxigen I think they could give me which none of them have worked except imitrix, Maxalt taking a shower letting the massage head beat on my head then wrapping a towell around my head putting presure until gone and only if I take within minuates of getting one if not the pain is so intense I want to kill myself. The nights of waking up with one I can't count, the days of having one I don't want to remember. My poor wife knows there is nothing she can do but leave me alone. Lucky for me I have my own business with no one to answer to but I've always wondered with other people what they do about their work when their headache come? I know I can't really plan anything at that time because I never know when they will come and sometimes 2,3-5 headaches a day or just a dull one for hours & hours.

Hi!
Welcome to the board, sorry your a fellow suffer.  You seem to have had a fair selection of Medications.  you are not alone in finding that not many of them work, this seems to be the experienance of many suffers.  Do have a good read round there are lots of bit of info on here that may help you.  Have you ever tried using Ice packs on your head and around the neck area during an attack, or applying ice packs to the wrist area to try to change the blood flow. Its worth a try, it helps.  some people find that hot packs used in the same way help.  there are other thing you can try but I'll leave you to look around,  I am sure somebody else will be along shortly with more suggestion.  Hope you get some PF time soon.
          Cheers Roy Smiley
