Sleepless In NJ

Hi My name is Ron and just wrapped up an allniter with the beast. I found this site a couple of years ago when I last had a cycle but as time wore on I lost touch and felt pretty good. I really wish I had kept up with things as I`ve had two cycles since July and am getting worn out now. The really weird thing is that in the current cycle the devil has decided to switch sides from the normal right to the left side and it`s killing me.Is this normal? Anyway I am looking at things and thanks for keeping this site going. Ron

The beast is known to throw curve balls. Switching sides between cycles is not as uncommon as was once thought. Some of us will even get the occasional switch hit during a cycle, and some of us chronics get them more often than others. Thats the thing about the beast. The only thing constant about it is the inconsistancy.

I saw an act of faith today. A man was on his knees, not in a pew in a Church, but in a garden planting seeds. ~~Unknown

Thanks Red I guess I was just used to the right side and I think it`s much worse this time on the left with a lot more swelling and a kip of 8/9 at it`s worst and shadows most of the rest of the time. I have a feeling this is going to be bad but I really feel bad for you chronic guys and the hell you must go through. Anyway thanks for replying and take care. Ron

Like Redd said it is not unheard of for the cluster pain to change sides. Mine never have. Always on the left, thank Gawd. I'm right handed so I can hold the ice pack with my left and still have a smoke in my right hand. Welcome back to the board.

I've never had em' switch sides but as others have said it's not uncommon. Mine are always on the right and frankly I could use a break - a lefty might be a good change of pace. Stick around. There's a lot of good folk here that understand what you're going through and will help when this disorder starts to get to you. Best wishes, Tom

Would the owner of the propane torch, egg beater, pipe expander and vise grips please claim these items. They're lodged in my head and I need the space.

Thanks Guys I appreciate the words of encouragement and right back at you. LOL I was at the local WAWA this morning at 330am and you should have seen the look I got from the clerk when she saw my little pile of red bulls and my leaking eye. jury is still out on redbull though. Ron
