Hi all, not new to CH but new to the board

Hi I'm Mark- been having CH now for almost 2 decades. have browsed this site often but never used the message board.

However this is a lonely condition and nice to have a place just to vent- anger at dumb and uncaring doctors, co-workers and friends.

'what's all the whining about a headache' seems to be the normal response either verbally or just by the off handed way they dismiss your comments.

I actually went through two bouts with clusters before finding a doctor than even mentioned thier name and couldn't understand why the tylyenol 3 hadn't worked.

as it's a little known order in the medical field it's far less known in the rest of the world. -

i had a good doctor before i moved from tucson--which took me years to find- and now here in PA just a few days after arriving I get another bout---which has been about 2 years sense last one. I just turned 50 and was hoping i'd finally outgrown them- no such luck.

i was smart enough to bring my meds- though i have no way (or money) to replace them when they run out.

still I got cans of red bull standing by for the event, and i'm going into the 3rd week so about almost halway through them.

glad to be a member during my torture-

And we hope you stick around when it's over too.

There's a lot of people who could use your help and support here.  As you said it's a lonely condition and some people have no one to ask questions, vent or talk to about this,  except right here.

welcome.  Now pick up an oar and row.   Wink

Hi Mark,

I'm in Tucson.  Sorry we never  met.  If you don't mind saying, I'd like to know who your Dr. was.  Mine is very good, Dr. Jeanette Wendt, but just curious.  Perhaps they are in the same office.

Anyway, welcome to the board.  I hope to see ore of you here, learning, sharing, and supporting others.

So, Mark, welcome.  If this is your first post, were you a lurker or did you just find the board portion?

Good luck finding a new doc.  Here's  link to a recent thread on that.
