Hi everyone, I am new, i'm 23 from aus and been suffering CH for 6 years - progressively getting worse each year. I cant remember a day i havent had a CH, been having about 6 a day lately. strong pain also in my cheek and jaw. My doctors have just ignored me, until recently when i was diagnosed with CH. I didnt realise there were so many medications out there, which is good to know. Got put on 'deseril' but it made me sick, so i stopped taking it. anyway just wanted to say hi, and introduce myself, good to know i'm not in it alone. crystal

Welcome home, crystal. Look over the links at the left of your screen, paying particular attention to the "medical info" for information on treatment options, and the "oxygen info" for information on how to use this highly effective abortive. There's a wealth of information here, and a great group of people who are willing to help and to try to answer any questions you may have. Feel free to ask all the questions you'd like. There are many people here with much greater knowledge than I have. I'm sure they'll be responding soon. Again, welcome. Best wishes, George

Ah! The foreigners put on such airs Wearing the tangerine suits And their harlequin eyes. The pain they inspire Draws in harmonica melodies And the feathers of birds Which flame up at their touch. It all comes to light in the sheer Debonair. (Ellen)

Hi Crystal Barry from North West W.A. here, welcome & sorry you have to be here but you’re in the best place for help. Have a good read of the links to the left, there’s a heap of info available. My favourite abortive is oxygen for the big hits and Red Bull for the lower ones; I also take Taurine & Magnesium as a preventative regime. As the people here will tell you ask any question you want, the only dumb question is the one you don’t ask. Kind Regards Barry

Hi Crystal, We are from Sydney NSW. My DH Daniel is a CH. He has recently been diagnosed with CH after suffering for 6 years and being misdiagnosed with a whole host of things including Chronic Fatigue Syndrome! If you wish, drop me a line at bbijoux@bigpond.net.au as I can help you getting 02 and the mask. Also you can call us anytime on the phone. I will give you the phone number via email if you wish. Read as much as you can and ask heaps of questions. The more you know about this condition, the better you will be at handling/controlling it. Take care and painfree wishes to you. Annette

I am sorry you are a CH suffer, but welcome and glad you are here. I have just started a sea salt regime and it seems to be decreasing the intensity and frequency of the pain (or it could be the beast playing a cruel joke on me...damn him and his shananigans) Sorry, I am not a Brit or an Aussie, but I am a Canuk...but an ex-pat. I didn't know if this was just a Commonwealth board

There is a wealth of information available online that can help you understand treatment options and maybe a little more about this condition. The following link provides some good information to get you started. http://www.headachedrugs.com/archives/preventivemeds.html You are not alone but to posispin - you are in an exclusive club. Left untreated CH can ramp up considerable. Do some research, present your information/symptoms and potential treatment ideas to your docs. Find a headache specialist with experience treating CH and change if you can. In the alternative, refuse to be ignored, over a decade ago, I endured two years of constant hell because I wasted time with docs. that had no answers. You won't necessarily find a cure but the disorder can be improved. Best wishes, Tom

Would the owner of the propane torch, egg beater, pipe expander and vise grips please claim these items. They're lodged in my head and I need the space.
