Hello All! My name is Toni Rivera and I am so excited that the O.U.C.H. convention is coming to Richmond , VA next year! It is our 400th Anniversary and there is a LOT of great events going on! I work for the Richmond Convention and Visitors Bureau, so I have both a professional and personal connection to this convention. I have suffered from cluster headaches for 6 years. I am thrilled to be able to attend a convention where I can learn more about my condition and learn better ways to take care of the pain. I can assure you that this convention will be awesome! I invited Bill to the area and I showed him the Richmond Region in addition to touring several hotels that would comfortably fit this convention. No matter what hotel it is at, I can assure you that I will be here for anything that you need. Ladies-Richmond has more shopping malls per capita than any other city in the United States! Men-Richmond is home to RIR-where 2 NASCAR races take place every year! I am also going to help market the 2007 convention, to help make it the largest attended convention to date! Please let me know if you have any questions at all. I look forward to meeting everyone in person! Thanks! Toni Rivera

Are ya a left sider by the way? I ask b/c most of us have Cluster eyes The affected side appears smaller. Anyway, there is tons to learn and tons to share so get comfortable and enjoy the ride E

Hi everyone! Thanks for all the support! I use Verapamil (500-800) for preventive measures and when I have a "hit", I use Zomig (5 mg) dissolvable tablets - although they do not work hardly at all! My doctor (who is Dr. Klassett at Tuckahoe Family Medical - for the local peeps) did prescribe me an oxygen tank that I have here. When Bill was in town he showed me a wonderful Cluster mask that I am going to have to invest in. The mask I have works, but some air does escape. I only get my clusters pretty much during Sept./Oct. months. I started them in Sept. 2000 and have had them pretty much every year (except 2004-I didn't have any that year). I have them every night during those two months. I actually get them above my right eye. I'm gonna have to take a look at that picture you keep talking about that Bill posted, because now I'm paranoid! Anyhow, I think I've answered your questions. I will be on here a lot more often, so I'm sure we will have lots to talk about!

Hi Toni - welcome! Isn't Bill (we call him Beeyul) a wonderful person. He was the first clusterhead I ever met, and has become my closest CH family member - and we are a family. I am so happy that you are working with OUCH to find us a great place in Richmond next year. But, I've just gotta ask you a question. Is their a Chico's in Richmond? - I have to take Helen shopping there - she made me promise? By the way, you are lovely - right eye or left eye - who cares. Sandy

Hi Toni, I am Tim or tanner whichever you prefer. I had you pegged for a leftie myself but don't go gettin paranoid until we have had a fair chance to scare you away JUST KIDDING! Even though I have been around here for awile this will be my first convention and I can't wait. The only other cluster sufferer I ever met was my room-mate in the Mich.Headache Clinic. Thats what they used to call Joel Sapers place. They had him mis-diagnosed but he knew what was going on and helped me to realize that I was not one of a kind. Thank God for DJ and this place ! It is now much easier to find someone that has a clue. I look forward to meeting you and I'm sure it will be a great to-do........Tim

Hi Toni, This will be my first convention too, and (if I don't end up going to Davcon this winter) it will be the first time I'll meet another clusterhead. Needless to say, I'm keen to go. My family and I have been talking about taking a several-week tour of Civil War sites during the summer of next year. (I guess that would be "The War of the Rebellion" where you are.) Richmond will fit beautifully into that agenda. So it looks promising that I'll be there, accompanied by my non-clusterhead family. Hope to meet you there, as well as a great many other people. Welcome to CH.com. Regards, George

Yes, there is definitely a Chico's! It is only one mile from my house, actually! Check out www.shortpumpmall.com . That is my favorite mall here in Richmond. Also, check out www.richmondregion2007.com for all you history buffs out there!

The picture was attached to Bill's original post telling us about his scouting trip to Richmond. It just happens that Toni is a VERY attractive woman, and the reason that we mention the leftie issue is because we don't want you wimmin to think that we are a bunch of dirty old men ....Tim
