Hey
I just recently found this site whilst doing some surfing, I had a question related to clusters and thought I'd join up, and ask it here 
I've been a 'clusterhead' for 4 years now, 3 of which I've known what's been going on. My bunches of attacks come once or twice a year, seemingy unrelated to any lifestyle choices I make. It's made my 3 years of uni interesting at times at least!
My name is Zoe, and I graduated with a BSc in Renewable Energy about two weeks ago. I love to read, do jigsaw puzzles, and geeky things on the computer, like web and graphic design.
Anyway, my question was, is it unusual for a clusterhead to suffer more than the average amount of regular headaches as well? It's just it seems I tend to have more than people the same age as me, though I eat (relatively) well, I wear my glasses etc.. people seem to comment on it and it made me wonder. Is it something that could be linked to the clusters, or is it something seperate altogether?

Sorry you have a reason to seek out info on CH.
To answer your question, there is no set rule about "other" headaches and clusters. I know people on this board that have migraines and clusters.....for myself, I rarely get a non-ch headache now. Before CH, I'd have "other" types on a fairly regular basis......now it's very unusual for me to get a "normal" headache.
Stick around.....there is always something to learn about CH.

hello my name is barak and welcome to the site. sorry you have to suffer from CH but for your question about other headaches as well. i get dull headaches a lot to go with the cluster headaches though the other headaches usually happen at completly other times.

Its nice to meet you.
Lots of help and advice to be had regarding clusters in general so read up when you get time and ask all the questions you want. When you get time tell us what meds you use/have tried and lets see if there is anything we can suggest to help you out there too.
Going back to your question, several CH'ers do have more than one headache type going on. We also can get "shadows" which is literally like a shadow of a hit or is also used for lower level hits.
I would mention it when you see your neuro just because they should know everything that's going on with you but I would think if its something you can shift with OTC painkillers then don't worry too much about it. Sounds like you've had a pretty stressful time what with getting your degree anyway and uni life so I'm sure the headaches can probably be put down to that. Are you sensitive to light? That can be a trigger for me. Also you might want to try drinking alot more, (no NOT alcohol!) Apparently 90% of all headaches (basic headaches) are caused by dehydration and if you look to the left at the menu you'll see water x 3 listed as a tip.
