Buncha crazy folk around here!

Hi everone. I've been lurking around this site for a very long time now (since bout 1999) and I figured it was time to register and say hi. Feels like I already know everyone here but no one really knows me. I usually come here when a cycle begins but I never stick around after the beast departs (don't want to be associated with anything that has to do with CH when in remission). That was very selfish of me so now I'm here to support my fellow sufferers. I'll start off by giving you a short bio... I'm 29 years old. I live in Central Florida with my wife and soon-to-be-born son. Been getting episodic CH since age 16 and tried all meds (Prednisone, Lithium, Stadol, Imitrex, Erogots, ect ect.) I u se to get CH once a year until the year 2001. My wife and I took a small dose of pasture picked shrooms on July 4th 2001 to enhance the fireworks show. Ever since then I've been getting my cycles about once every two years (it was only later that I realized it had to be the Cubensis that disrupted my cycles). What an awsome coincidence (yes this is all documented with Andrew S.)! Anyway, we just had a house built on our property and had sod installed about 2 months ago. I've been watering the hell out of it and the other day, to my delightful surprise, there was a medium size P.Cubensis just outside my front door. I couldn't believe it. I ran inside and told Leah. She wasn't to excited but it tickled the sh*t outta me! I must have put 10's if not 100's of miles on my feet trekking through Florida pastures looking for these elusive devils (with varied success) over the past 10 years and here they are...right in my own front yard. All I can figure is the sod was cut from one of the local fields cause it had cow shit all in it. Seeing that shroom gave me the picking fever again so I went riding back roads the other day (after the heavy rains) and damn if I didn't find one monster of a shroom. I wasn't even walking, I was driving and spotted this big bastard from the road. I got a huge spore print from it that's going directly into the front yard :) I won't even want to cut my grass as I might mow one of these bad boys down! Crap, I'm just rambling on...SORRY GUYS! Anyway, just want to say hello and nice to finally meet ya! P.S. DJ, Thanks for getting me registered so quickly with all the problems I was having. Chuck, Thanks for that wonderful video of your attack. I can't even count the number of people in my life that now have a better understanding of what CH physically do (from witnessing your attack)...every time I watch that video I cry for you. I'm not one to show emotion but it just pours out when I see ya in that situation. Now...here's a pic for ya and a link to something your gonna laugh your ass off @! Hope this code gets embedded right. http://vid64.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid64.photobucket.co m/albums/h163/repairpc/BorderControlwmv.flv

Richr8, LeLimey Thanks for the open arms My last cycle ended on Feb, 23 2005 so I'm about 6 months away from another 2.5 month nightmare...that'll give me a few months of good times with our newborn before I go into hibernation. Our little man is due on July 30th and I can't wait. It's our first and only. We almost decided not to have children at all due to my headaches but after much debate and planning, we decided that we could make it work. Leah became pregnant one month later. My main concern was passing CH on to him...I'm not a religious person (Agnostic) but I pray to whoever may be listening that he has a PF life! Reading all of the post from you guys about how wonderful children can be, even with CH, was a big factor in our decision. Thanks guys!

Hi, Dis. Welcome. Contratulations on the birth of your impending little boy. Trust me, you and Leah made the right decision. There is nothing in this world like looking at, and holding your newborn child. He is the future of this entire world, and here he is, this little miracle that you created, resting sleepily in your arms. It's an awesome feeling. There is nothing that has, or will ever occur in your life to compare to the absolute, instantantenous love that you will feel at the birth of your child. Sandy
