Medical reports indicate that Botox helps few folks with Cluster. Here is a link to read and print and take to your doctor. It describes preventive, transitional, abortive and surgical treatments for CH. Written by one of the better headache docs in the U.S. (2002) http://www.brightok.net/~mnjday/chtherapy.pdf

Hi hurts. Welcome! When you get on to the Oxygen, make sure yu get a non-rebreather mask like this one: http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~tritech2/clusterx/index.html ..It will greatly increase the effectiveness of the O2. As far as what we take, we are all different, but it's all covered in the link provided by Bob. My personal cocktail si 480mg of Verapamil as a preventive, Prednisone tapers to break the cycle, loads of O2 as an abortive. Of course, you will have to help your Doc decide what works best for you when you go in loaded with information. We find that most docs have a lot to learn about CH and don't mind sharing info.. Nice to meet you and I hope to hear more about you soon.

...because yesterday is history and you never know what tomorrow will bring. "Med free"- A few seeds and lots of O2-LG but not great.

Welcome here Hurt. On the left hand side you will find some good information. Read as much as you can here and compare it to what you have tried already. Be armed with knowledge the next time you go and see your doc. Ask away, this place and people have years of collective knowledge and it's a great place for support.
