New to the boards, if not the site...

Hello everyone! New to the boards here, even though I've been a visitor to the site on and off for about seven years now. Good grief, has it been that long?
I was cluster-free for almost a year and a half and actually had deluded myself into thinking maybe, just maybe I'd ditched the whole god-awful mess. Turns out, not so much. Since I'm uninsured, I'm one of the lucky ones! But it could be worse. I usually only get about two a day, and EVERY so often Excedrin actually works as an interrupt! Don't ask how my peptic ulcer is doing. Nine Excedrin a day make for an interesting diet.
Anyway, just wanted to say hello, and as supportive as my significant other tries to be, it's nice to have a place to go where people really understand my pain. Seems like this latest cycle is really out to prove a point.

I just finished a 2 year remission, and for the umpteenth time I had convinced myself the damned things were gone!! Sorry that you were as wrong as I was. Hope you have a quick easy go of it.

It's funny, the little things you forget when you're in remission. I haven't had a beer, glass of wine, shot or any other alcoholic beverage in a month (alcohol and cigarettes are my two triggers). I quit smoking years ago, and I was never a big drinker, but it's a strange feeling going to the bar for a round of karaoke with the gang and drinking ice water all night.

For me it's that shot of single barrel on the rocks that I miss the most. And this danged series has been going on since November!!!! 2 years of remission really spoiled me. (and it is a hell of a lot harder to karaoke stone cold sober!!!)
