Please if anyone else is ever ever ever EVEEEER prescribed indomethacin, save your money and don't buy it!!! I can't hold my head up for 5 seconds without the room spinning uncontrollably! I feel like I'm going to pass out! I can barely type because I keep getting dizzy and my whole body is shaking! I break into cold sweats for no reason... I nauseas and I can't vomit... My heart starts pounding everytime I have a dizzy spell! It first started on the 7th and I wasn't sure what it was. If it was because of the medication or my condition. It had never happened up until then though. So By the 10th, it was still happening so I decided to discontinue my medication... Now it's worse than ever! My heads spinning all DAY!!! I feel like a crack addict going through withdrawl! This is horrible! I just read the side effects of Indomethacin on another site and it stated all of the above! I haven't even been taking but for about a week and it's driving me crazy!!! LITERALLY!!! I can't focus!

This is a side effect of Indo; not common but fast developing for people who are sensivtive to it.

I'm sorry you have had such a bad reaction to the Indomethacin, I was precribed Indomethacin on 10th for a CH cycle that started on 8th. I have been luckier than you, no significant side effects, a little dizzy and stomach having a few churns now and then but no CH attacks since starting the Indomethacin. I was very sceptical when my doctor wanted to prescribe it as I wanted to try O2 and Prednisone, but the Indomethacin is seems to be working for me. Your body must be very sensitive to it. Has your doctor given you something else to control your CH? Hope you are feeling better soon. Kathleen

Reading these posts again is like reading the diary from hell. It's bringing back memories that I've tried to forget. I actually felt the same dizzyness and nausea that I mentioned here every single day after I made this post until July of 06... I actually blew 2 important auditions because of it. I must have looked crazy in front of the casting directors stumbling and trying to keep my composure. Like a druggie or something... Anyway, I just thank god that it's over. During that period I was suprisingly hoping to just get back to having CH! At least that way the rooms not spinning out even with my eyes closed and I can keep a meal down without vomiting uncontrollably.

Hello! This is my first post here on Clusterheadaches.com. I just had a 2nd opinion from a specialist who diagnosed me with cluster headaches, after suffering for 6 months. I have just started (within 2 days) to take a low dose of Indometacin (as it is here in the UK). I have just started to feel sick too and dizzy whenever I lean forward. The burning sensation I get in my next and lower skull has also been around much more, without an attanck, admittedly, but still... I'm so glad that this is a symptom of this drug. I thought I might have been pregnant! Em

mmmmm Em...if you have a slight doubt about a pregnancy you better go get a pregnancy test...some meds are very bad if taken while you are pregnant. Just my Hugs Rosy.

Hello! I have checked and I'm not. But thank you very much for your concern. It is worrying to think about the amount of meds we pump into ourselves though. I have heard that indomethacin can affect a person's chance of getting pregnant - slightly worrying for me as a 25 yr old hoping to start a family one day! To all the sufferers out there who have CH and children, I am in awe of you. Em

I recall indo... My UK neuro put me on that one for a short period of time back in 2003. I recall taking 25mgs for a week, then 50 and should have taken 75 in the end, but I got 8hour migraines from that 50mgs alone, so I went back to 25 and then stopped. It did nothing to the ch, though... My neuro was dissapointed that I had to stop the treatment before getting to 75mg. He was nearly angry... Excuse me, but I'm not wasting 8h per day to migraines while ch is still on just to keep a cocky neuro happy! Later on when I got my medical records from a nice GP I found out that the neuro had been convinced that I cannot have ch because of my gender and put me on indo to prove that. Aguess the chap learned few things about ch. Sanna
