I paid on Friday at Wally World $2.99 a gallon for each skim and 2%. A few weeks ago, it was closer to $3.50 a gallon. This was on central IL.

$3.19 yesterday for 1% . Don't know what whole milk was, but most likely $3.39, since it's usually 20 cents more. I guess the "inflation rate" is supposed to be around 3 percent. Maybe if you're talking about BMW's and diamond tiaras.... I don't know about you, but the stuff I actually spend money on--gasoline, food, health insurance, and so forth--has gone up one hell of a lot more than 3 percent in the past year. I think the "inflation rate" is a bogus, "feel good" number that the plutocrats throw out there to keep the yokels fat, dumb, and happy. Sorry for the hijack. Best, George

Wow. Upstate, New York: Wegmans Market- $2.39 for 1 gallon 1% milk. I should stock up. The thing about Wegmans is that they are the most consistant for quality too. Charlie
