I hear ya the victims have to sit there and defend themself then get investigated because some scum sucker couldnt use the energy to do something remotely legal instead break into a victims home. The people now have to live with the fact they had to kill an idiot. now should the victims sue the families of the people who tried to rob them maybe more who knows, for mental stress of having to live with that? Even copshave trouble having to pull the trigger it is a whole lot of mental stress and torment thereafter. Just MHO Mike

OK, we're soundly asleep at 2:00 AM, and are awakened by a window in our home crashing in. What to do? What to do? Hmm Option 1, lie calmly in our bed and wait for the burglar to come in, ransack our home, steal our valuables, heck, eat the food out of our refrigerator, then he could walk in to our bedroom....why? To just say "Hi". I doubt that. Option 2, immediately upon hearing the window crash, husband reaches right hand in to nightstand drawer for weapon, flips off the safety and fires as many times as necessary to stop burglar in his tracks. Meanwhile, wife calls 911. Tough choice. I opt for #2. Go ahead, cops, investigate us for homicide! Sandy

Maybe people should take the "Don't Mess with Texas" slogan serious.... I'm with Option #2 and the homeowner. What's to investigate? Window broken - shots fired - perp dead! Case Closed!!! Next? Hugs BD

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

Castle doctrine also applies in Louisiana and extends to my vehicle, so better think twice about car jackings in Louisiana. As far as somebody breaking into the house? Well, he might be in for a real surprise when he's met with two guns a blazing.
