My son is so lucky!

He is home on Recruters assistance for the month.  Can we say YES!  This means he will be home for the holidays and has to report back to school in North Carolina for his formal military training for his job in the Marines.  Anyway, because he is home on recruiters assistance he has been hanging out at the malls and getting referals of people who may be interested in joining the Marines and giving those referals to his sr. recruter for follow up.  He has been getting around 5 a day.  That is more than the other 5 on RA also.  They gave him a free ticket and the day off to go see Ozzy Osborne in Milwaukee tonight.  They had another popular band also playing but can't think of the name of the group right now.  I am so jealous.  But he has worked hard and desearves it.  Sounds like he might get a promotion to Private First Class before he leaves also.  Yeah!

Thats fantastic Karla.

My Marine son did that very same thing (RA) last Christmas on his way from San Diego to North Carolina.

He didn't get the concert deal, but was able to move the recruiters office over a 10 day period.  Gunt work, go figure.

Thank your son for me as well.

My Marine will be home for Christmas on his way to Ft. Worth and then Baghdad airport - he's a C130 engine mechanic.
