Going to my very 1st Packer game...

on Dec. 30th.  Jesse's Aunt was given 4 tickets so I'm going with her, my sister-in-law (the only one I trust, lol) and Jesse's cousin's wife (who is like a sister to us also).

They're playing Detriot I believe and since I've never been to a professional football game before, does anyone have any advice?  Like, when is the best time to use the bathroom??  LOL!

BTW: Look for me, I'll be the pregnant one!

Wear boots and take a garbage bag along,  You step into the garbage bag and pull it up to your waist.  It protects your lower half from the blowing wind chill and or freezing rain, snow, etc.  Bring along a change of clothes just in case it snows or rains.  Use the bathroom before the game starts, just before halftime, and after the game is over.  Bring a cusion to sit on because the seats are not confortable.  Be prepared to pay an arm and a leg for parking.    The last game I went to was when they played on Jan 15? against the 49ers in the playoffs before they went to the superbowl and lost.  It rained and snowed and was below freezing and I loved every minite of it except we didn't bring a change of clothes and we got soaked.  We went to KMart next door to the stadium and bought new outfits to change into.  Oh put on thermals if you have them.  Have lots of fun!!!!

Mel,
I wouldn't go if I were you. The cold, the alcohol, you in such a fragile condition.
I've got an idea to help you out. I can take those tickets off your hands for no charge. I then will brave the elements for you. No thanks are necessary.

Always better to go prior to perking a warm stain in your shorts. Frozen post warm whiz can tend to be uncomfortable.

Hope this helps.

I have been to many games, I'm pretty sure you won't have to worry about rain so:

A long warm coat. Long enough to go under your butt when you sit down. Them bleachers are cold Shocked

Warm but light boots.

And believe it or not, if you can sneak in a small thin piece of carpeting, you feet will stay much warmer because you wont be standing on cold concrete. Heck, even if you can find a piece of cardboard while your in the stadium, it helps to keep warm by standing on it.

I like to use a muff with a handwarmer or two inside it. Works great to keep your hands warm and you can clap or handle money easily because you won't have any gloves on to fumble with or lose. Jessi probably has one or two for hunting. And don't forget to bring a hankie!

Have a blast!  And YOU WILL get goosebumps the first time you walk in there!

Been there twice. Tailgating is a riot. So many strange people wandering around. The first time I was there, the van next to us opens the side door, pulls a couple of recliners and a generator out. Sets the generator up, opens the back doors to a big screen TV. They were there when we went into the game and still there when we came out. I didn't get to ask, but I think they spent the whole game in the parking lot watching their big screen.
Second time we got into a side lot (right place at the right time with $20 extra to spend) to see the packers go into the stadium. Had front row seats on about the 45 yard line (don't ask what i paid for them). It's actually a bad spot to sit, because you are so close, the players get in the way of side line plays and the mobile TV tower keeps flinging back and forth in your way.

    Your gonna have a riot.

Melissa,
Congrats! Its Barb. One women to another. Take a blanket to
lay over your legs and a boat cushion to sit(soft to for the tush). Hand warmers for your hands and feet. Since you are 7 months along. Hate to say it "Depend". I had to stand in line a few times. Most women go to the bathroom when the other team is up. When you get in line ask if you can skip ahead because your expecting.  Have a nice time at the game!!!!
