Is Drew Peterson----Guilty, or Not Guilty ? My Opinion is that he is as Guilty as the day is long. I am amazed how the morning new shows are falling all over themselves to fly him into New York to interview him. AND Dr. Baden who is the absolute best forensic pathologist claims that his third wife was murdered. After they put this guy away, I want to see the three shithooks in Aruba get life.

He's either not guilty, or he is the coldest psychopath of our day. How's that for riding the fence?

He's guilty as hell! But, with the right lawyer he could pull an OJ and get away with it.

He is so guilty. He got away with murder of wife #3 and thought he could get away with murder/disapearance of wife #4. Beth

| Being sort of an insider...(Peterson is was the Sgt. of one of my fishing buddies and a "close" relative of mine, has been out riding (cycles) with him and knew the wife (notice the use of the term "knew". You heard it here first....(at least I don't think this has been said) The missing wife's mother pulled a stunt before where she disappeared for a year, without telling anyone, and then popped up alive and well. That's why they were slow in making him a suspect. The Bolingbrook police are all under orders not to have any contact with him, or risk suspension. He's calling 911 to have the tv crews removed from his street but they ignore his calls. Ironic since the guy is such an attention freak. He retired and is collecting big benefits but they PD is fighting that now. The whole thing with the third wife's death and how it was ruled an accident, is under investigation. Lot's of heads will be rolling around here. The current PD Chief is getting death threats and will do whatever is necessary to find the truth, if for no other reason than to clear the names of the current administration. We've known about the barrel and the relative that helped move it, and his suicide attempt, from the beginning. There are lots of details to come out, obviously. If they find the blue barrel, they'll find her..if not...?? He has a small plane and lives on a private airstrip. My *guess* is that he flew over Lake Michigan and dropped the barrel into the lake. Maybe she'll wash up just like her unfortunate namesake, Lacey Peterson. Verdict = Guilty

He is innocent until proven guilty. In the court of uninformed public opinion, he is guilty until proven innocent. Thankfully, we have a justice system that doesn't (shouldn't) care what public opinion says. I think there is enough suspicion to warrant further investigation, and if they find real evidence, they should charge him. Unless that happens, you should be happy that he isn't in jail. America is nothing if we don't have due process.

I provided the only piece of evidence that tied the 'criminal' to the crimes, definitively. Unfortunately, the government decided to keep this guy incarcerated for 5 years (9 months of that in solitary confinement) WITHOUT EVEN A BAIL HEARING! Their message was loud and clear, and was meant to be heard by any other would-be criminals in this area of law... in lieu of understanding the crimes and writing legislation to deal with this new category of crimes (hacking) they were saying they would openly and intentionally violate your constitutional rights just to make a point. In the end, I was so disgusted with the situation that I contact the guys attorneys and gave them some info they didn't have, and 1 week later the guy was out on a plea deal. Thank God, too, cause I was subpoenaed by both the prosecution and the defense. That's a trial I did not want to be in. Anyway, the point is, due process is important. I believe in it so much, I helped the guy out who was in jail for attacking MY network. Criminal or not, he deserved due process because he is an American in America. If we stand by and let our government walk all over HIS rights, then what's to stop them from walking all over MY rights, or YOUR rights? Passivity is the enemy of freedom. -Shawn

Dumb? He's collecting a full pension, probably got away with murdering not one, but two wives... walks as a free man in a free country (for now)... is getting guest appearances on TV shows... will probably end up writing a book or two for millions when this is all over, will probably get pro bono legal just because of all the free press... hardly dumb. Maybe an A$$hole, but not dumb. Dumb people get arrested.

| Well, we'll see how dumb (or smart) he is. I believe that he is always smiling because he thinks he thought of everything and has beat the system, and has nothing to worry about. Seems he can't keep his mouth shut though and he may slip up one day...if he is guilty of course. I agree with you Shawn. A 19 y.o. girl marries a 50 y.o. guy, on his 4th wife?? Hmmm......who's the one not thinking clearly? Talk about a trophy wife. Thats what she was used for. Showing her off at the bars when she was 19. The photo they are using of her, does her no justice, from what I am told. Personally, I hope he is innocent. That would mean she is alive. Bobw

| This fourth wife could have been prevented if that was said when it was needed. Can't imagine what the cost to taxpayers would be to prove him guilty now while his earnings in the meantime are capitalized, and probable enriching lawsuits if she turns up,* an alternate plan possibly not ruled out yet. Careful treading. But little doubt we are dealing with a criminal mind here. Justice is very costly, spending to clean up a prior mess also. on Nov 29th, 2007, 12:26pm, Pinkfloyd wrote: The whole thing with the third wife's death and how it was ruled an accident, is under investigation.
