Have to like the Bene's

Well I went to the Benefits Seminar for my job at the Univ. Because I am full time, Medical, Dental and Vision is covered completely by the Univ. and not just for me but my husband and kids. Regency BCBS. Which we have had before from one of Shauns former jobs. So it is not bad insurance. Also I talked to the State because we are all being covered with State ins, Because of Shuans Diabetes, he and I got covered. But as we are approved until June of next year, for the next 6 months we will be double covered. The most I have ever had is a company that would pay for me and I still paid out the nose for Shaun and the kids. I have paid anywhere from $350 - $600 a month as my premiums for all 4 of us. So this is awesome. /hugs. Tia

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

Awesome!! State Universities usually have great benefits. I still miss some of Bob's from UNM. They didn't pay worth a shit, though.

Cant say that the pay s great compared to what I was making in Vegas, but from what I ahve seen here, this is not bad money to start and it can go a lot higher. So I can deal with that as I wont be paying out of my check for ins.

Having worked for the Calif, State Univ. system for 30 years I can tell you that you won't get rich working there. You're correct, the benes are good and they carry on into retirement (at least in Calif). I'm out of here in 1 year, 2 months, 15 days, 16 minutes and 43 seconds with 70% of my salary for the rest of my life (plus the medical and dental coverage).
