I do not know if any of you's have seen this or not but I just received this in an e-mail. This fawn was found on the road without his/her mother in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. A very rare find!! They contacted a wildlife sanctuary so the little one will be safe and will be alway's out of harms way. I thought I would share this with you, I found it to be very fascinating to say the least!.

Thats either a very large trainer in the background, or a very small fawn It's amazing what nature produces! On a more sinister note, just look at those eyes, maybe its the beast in disguise Paul

It's too tiny and scared to be harmful! Thanks for sharing! Charlotte Wait! That must be Rudolph's cousin, just in time for the Holidays! Imagine what a rednose reindeer and a red eyed deer could lead!

Hopefully they don't get caught, it is actually illegal to pick up a live deer and bring it into your home in Wisconsin. Go figure. I have actually seen albino deer in the Rhinelander area of Wisconsin. Pretty cool! Jimmers

It's illegal to shoot albino deer in Wisconsin (and Minnesota, I think).

Beautiful animal... reminds me of Edgar Winter. Ok on a cryptic note... if when calf is prepared for consumption it is called "veal", what would a fawn in the kettle be called? with warm regards, Tony

Nothing to do with deer but I had a friend who had a Canadian goose land in their back pasture once. It was hurt and couldn't fly. My friend nursed it back to health and was just waiting for when it was able to fly before releasing it. Some idiot called the local fish and game Dept. on him and he was arrested, lost his house due to legal fees and his record as an upstanding citizen was ruined. No good deed goes unpunished.

| Linda, we had a similar thing happen here in our town. This guy is a building inspector and had a black squirrel trying to get into his attic. He brought out a live trap and had it sitting on his porch. He had to go back to work from his lunch hour so he was going to set it up after work. Well, while he was back at work the squirrel got in it and got trapped by accident. A passerby saw the squirrel and called the OSPCA and he was going to be charged with illegal trapping and cruelty to animals. Apparently the squirrel was just laying in the cage not even upset or anything. He had quite a fight with this and finally the charges were dropped. They took away his live trap and cannot own one again. He also could have lost his home over this. The squirrel is well and probably out there chewing away on some else's house.

| That poor guy. But he should be thankful he only had 1----I've got literally 300 that come to the beach and waddle over everyone's lawns. They also leave little momentos all over my lawn. I go outside and tell them in a nice voice that I am going to kill them slowly. I hope with global warming that they stay up in Canada !! Those little shits have ruined my lawn.
