nobody really lives "in" Detroit - so the per capita numbers get jacked out of proportion. Detroit isn't that bad.

If it was International the entire UK would be more dangerous----during a Soccer match. Hell, they'll kick you in the head for shits and giggles.

Considering who they reelected as mayor, that doesn't suprise me at all. We keep trying to give it back to Ohio, or to Canada, but no one will take it. Mike

Well, they might have the highest crime rate, but New Orleans still has the highest murder rate per capita! I say we give all the crooks in New Orleans equal fire power, let the Marshalls and other armed officers draw a cordon around the city and let 'em have at it.

| Detroit's listed first there too, but New Orleans is difficult to list lately because of pinpointing the unsure population of the city in the last few years. Quote: Murder and violent crime leader. Scott's correct about living in the city, the suburban area around comprises 3.5 million to the 919,000 actually in the city. I live just across the border but lived many years in the city back in the day. I don't know why the city officials say it tarnishes the image every year when it's printed, Detroit's been at the top almost every year and nothing's ever done except to keep it there. But also, in another story, Detroit is also the poorest of the major cities, that can make it difficult to change.

Don't worry Paul - when you get here the kids'll frisk you for weapons. If you don't have any they'll give you some!

Svenn What is the crime rate in Oslo.? After Chuck left I mean? Tony is not figured into this of course. He's as pure as the driven snowbanks.
