Went out to vote this morning at 6:30 . I was up since my last hit at 5AM . The polls were quiet. I was 2nd in my district. Usually by 6:30 I'd be 30 something . Where are the voters ? I guess the rain doesn't help . Don't forget to vote . phil h

Hey Phil, There has to be someone I want to vote for. When they add a box for wipe the ballot and start over, I will be the first in line to cast a vote for that! PFW to you my friend, Roland.

There are no races here this fall. I'm the rep that handles the ads placed for elections. Last year I placed over 12K. This year nothing. It's a bit difficult to make up that revenue, so guess who's not going to make commissions this period?

Sometimes I wish we could vote yes or no for a candidate. A no vote would cancel out one of their yes votes. That way we could vote against someone without having to vote for someone.

Yeah, none of the above would have some appeal. I guess all we can do is vote against something. Not very productive but then it's not going to be much of a turnout. Not much on the ballot. Did my part though. Charlie

We don't have an election until the primary next spring, but i have missed only one election since I could first vote in 1972. I may not always vote for the right one, but I try very hard to know what the issues are and vote accordingly, inlcuding for our judges. Jerry

Well, for local races...... back in my younger days... we had a local justice of the peace race. This guy was running that NOBODY wanted in, but nobody ran against him. There was room on the ballot for a "write in" so I just wrote my name in. When I got home my neighbor called (we were on party lines back then) and asked me who I voted for - and I told her what I did. She laughed and said it was a good idea. I was working nights and went on to bed and forgot about it. After the polls closed this Jerk that was running called me to tell me he beat me! I only lost by 3 votes Imagine that and I wasn't even running. So for local races -- stage a write in at the last minute if you don't like who's running. It can work. And it doesn't give the other side time to regroup. But you have to get YOUR people out to vote. Hugs BD
