sharing my pride

She's my pride and joy...
Since quite of few of my buds on here have met her, thought I'd give an update from recent time...she's growing up to be quite a young lady.
I took this photo a week ago - it was for a cultural presentation at school - she played Frida Kahlo.. that's all our own authentic everything that she is wearing, dress to accessories.

My heart is full when I see my daughter from another perspective... and all the wonderful things about her.  I wanted to share with you.

The dress is beautiful and so is she!!! I love so much when my students can bring their culture to these kind of presentations. Are the flowers on the dress embroidered?

I forget to remember sometimes she's who she is.... i needed the reminder today.

Yes, Cash, the dress is embroidered authentic from the state of Chiapas Mexico; Frida Kahlo dressed often in clothing that represented typical dresswear of different parts of Mexico.

p.s. i wasn't fishing for compliments for me, but I'll take every last one of 'em , though if you look, she has not of stitch of me on her.. looks like her pops.

Here's one with the director of her presentation at school (she did Rent on Broadway)...

Some gratitude huh?  We carry 'em for 9 months, get hemorrhoids, stretch marks, and wide hips and they don't have the grace to even look a LITTLE like us . . . .

I love her Tehuana dress!! it is  one of the most beautiful regional dresses, she would look even prettier if you get the flower face on, that would frame her face and make her look even more of what she already is: a flower!  Smiley. Congratulations Mama Pavoreal !  Grin
